About Alicia Richardson MS, LPC-S, NCC

Founder & Lead Therapist

“When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid”.

- Audre Lorde

You’ve done what was expected. You’ve worked hard, cared deeply, and carried more than most people realize. From the outside, your life may look successful. On the inside, you may feel emotionally exhausted, disconnected from yourself, or caught in cycles you can’t fully explain.

Many of the women I work with aren’t in crisis, they’re at a turning point. They may be questioning relationships that no longer feel healthy, struggling to set boundaries without guilt, or second-guessing themselves despite being highly capable. Somewhere along the way, they became so focused on caring for everyone else that they lost sight of their own needs, desires, and sense of self.

If you’ve spent years showing up for everyone else while putting yourself last, therapy offers space to reconnect beneath the responsibilities, expectations, and emotional weight you’ve carried.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Clinical Supervisor, Level II Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and National Certified Counselor, I specialize in supporting high-functioning women as they navigate relationship concerns, life transitions, burnout, trauma, anxiety, depression, and self-worth challenges with greater clarity and confidence.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I work through a culturally responsive, identity-affirming lens, honoring how culture, identity, and lived experience shape how you see yourself, relate to others, and move through life. Together, we’ll explore the dynamics that influence how you relate to yourself, others, and your experiences. While these patterns may have once been protective, they can continue influencing your confidence, relationships, and overall well-being long after they’ve outlived their purpose.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, navigating a season of change, or longing for something different, you don’t have to move through it alone. If you’re ready to create meaningful, lasting change, contact me to schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation so we can take the next step together.

Outside of my work with clients, here’s a glimpse into life beyond the therapy room.

I was born and raised in Arizona and am the eldest of 14 siblings. I have three daughters and one grandson.

Things I enjoy: hiking, Pilates, Lagree, Barre, spin, strength training, time with friends and family, cooking, playing games (Taboo is a favorite), trying new restaurants, traveling, watching movies, and binge-watching Netflix.

How I care for my well-being: I attend therapy myself and value it deeply. I also prioritize rest, music (especially R&B), movement, reading, journaling, time with loved ones, and restorative self-care practices.

I believe self-care isn’t indulgent; it’s essential. It is one of the most meaningful ways we sustain our well-being and support the life we are building.
